The raw and rough style of Miss Djax is a natural fit for a festival like Ground Zero. Miss Djax, a.k.a. Saskia Slegers, has therefore already graced the festival with her presence in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Last year she even hosted her very own area that was very well received. This year she will take control of Ground Zero Headquarters for a stunning performance together with Human Resource.

While she still stands behind the decks with the looks and enthusiasm of a twenty year old, Miss Djax actually just celebrated her 20th anniversary of her career as a DJ and label-boss. Back in 1989 Djax was already a force to be reckoned with both as a DJ and with the label Djax Up Beats (now Djax Records). Not only has this label released a countless string of techno and acid classics, but also laid the foundation of Dutch hip-hop starting with the very first Dutch language hip-hop releases by Osdorp Posse.

So you can clearly say that the story of Miss Djax is long and enthralling. Therefore a DVD about it has just been presented; Djax Records 1989-2009 - Underground Nation. On this DVD you’ll see some extremely rare footage including Djax’s performance during the one and only Love Parade in Berlin.
