If there would be a royal family of Ground Zero, Proteus would be the crown prince. From the very first edition, this Finnish mad man has been an integral part of the festival. His absolutely crazy performances... His absolutely cool record choice... An insane mixing capability... And overall highly effective and infective performer. Throw your hands up in the air for Proteus!

How did you respond when you found out you were asked to perform at Ground Zero?
I was very happy and excited when I was asked to play Ground Zero again this year! Ground Zero is one of the best festivals in the world and I think it's the biggest and best festival to represent all the harder styles from the very underground to the all time classics in the harder dance scene! Lot of people from Finland travel to Ground Zero because they respect the Ground Zero line up so much!

I have had great honor to play at all Ground Zero festivals from the first one to fifth one this year and this time I'm doing b2b set at main stage with one of the true legend in the scene; Adam Lab4!!! We will kick ass!!!

What can the people expect from your set?
Proteus and Lab-4 combination! Pure underground sounds! Darkest and most twisted synth riffs and heavy beats! And of course total craziness as always, ha ha ha!!!

The theme of this year is The 5th Epidemic. How can people survive this epidemic?
They can survive easily; just listen the music and enjoy their life! Most of the dark music is about to get out the bad vibes through music.. that is what I do in my life. Live with the epidemic, best epidemic in the world; music!

Are there any other artists you definitely want to check out at Ground Zero?
Oh God yes! I usually take some older vinyls with me from home to get some autographs from the artists I respect most in past and still nowadays. For example couple of years back I met first time personally one of my true heros; Ruffneck and got signed about 20 old Ruffneck vinyls.

This year I definitely want to check Human Resource, Ruffneck, Enzyme X, Delta 9, Miss Djax, Chosen Few, Dreamteam, Franky Jones, Komprex, Frazzbass, Yves De Ruyter, Bonzai Classics, Paul Elstak and many more!!!

What are your plans for the rest 2010?
I'm celebrating my 15th Proteus career anniversary this year and been touring without stop already this year in Finland, Netherlands, Russia, the UK, Poland, Australia, Switzerland, Sweden and still many more gigs to come this year before end of the year! One of the highlights after Ground Zero is definitely Dance Valley in August!!!

Also I'm working with my second full length artist album which should be released in the end of the year and plus I have started to organize more industrial and metal crossover events in Finland beside my usual techno events. Going strong!!

PROTEUS will perform together with ADAM LAB4 at the HEADQUARTERS.
