01-07-2010 - Interview Placid K

One of the dominating powers of the Italian hardcore scene has been Placid K. With a keen sense of what turns dance-floors into a dwelling of beat-crazed lunatics, Placid K has been tearing up parties and festival for years. He will be putting all of his skills into practice at the Ground Zero Research Department and turn you into a raving madman as well...

How did you respond when you found out you were asked to perform at Ground Zero?
Awesome! There are no other words to say. I already had the honor to play there before and the ambiance at this huge festival is amazing. Can't wait!

What can the people expect from your set?
I’ll be playing in the Early Hardcore area and that’s really cool. I’m not so old, but I have made a lot of tracks in the past. This is the chance to have some fun with that and play some of my own re-edit stuff. I’m sure we’re going to have a good time!

The theme of this year is The 5th Epidemic. How can people survive this epidemic?
I just don't know but really hope the people can survive because I suppose next year will be another edition of Ground Zero! That reason is good enough to stay alive!

Are there any other artists you definitely want to check out at Ground Zero?
The line-up is huge but unfortunately I know that it’s impossible to hear all the artists that I would like to hear. It’s difficult to tell you all the names, too much are playing that night!

What are your plans for the rest 2010?
2010... It's a very busy year. A lot of stuff is coming out from my new studio and the third vinyl extract from my album “beat resort” is finally out!
We are also very close to the summer and I must be ready for the great season full of big festival and parties. Hope I can survive to fix all the projects & remixes that I’m working on at the moment.

See you at the ground zero…ciaoo!

PLACID K will be performing in the RESEARCH DEPARTMENT.
