03-07-2010 - Interview DJ XO

A festival like Ground Zero must maintain a balance so all visitors can keep going on all night. The Carefree Zone presents you a true specialist in the person of DJ XO. His sultry sounds will make the tired muscles jump up again and put a smile on everyone’s face.

How did you respond when you found out you were asked to perform at Ground Zero?
I instantly said YES! Of course, we will survive this epidemic only with fantastic beats and a good ambiance. I most definitely want to contribute to this cause. I have performed at Ground Zero before, but under my alias VOX.

What can the people expect from your set?
We try to be a rest point at the area. A place where people like to come, to give their ears some rest by listening to the sound of Sexy Music.

The theme of this year is The 5th Epidemic. How can people survive this epidemic?
Here is how you survive a epidemic. You have to make sure you have your friends with you and listen to this delicious music. Strangers can also be your friends, only you have not ever met them. Solidarity, coziness, unity…To me, those are the ingredients to survive the epidemic.

Are there any other artists you definitely want to check out at Ground Zero?
For me personal is not necessary to meet or witness someone performing. But what so beautiful is, there is something for everybody. Everyone can enjoy at the area of their own choice.

What are your plans for the rest 2010?
Every 2nd Saturday of the month a Turn On evening at the Sluizen of IJmuiden. This evening guarantees you a delicious evening full with nice DJ’s. We strive towards a perfect ambiance, that the people going to hope the month will be over soon, so they can enjoy the evening full of sexy music again. Just like we cannot wait for the next party. And that is upcoming Saturday the 10th of July. We would like to say: “Be Welcome”
